One of the sewers crossing Royal Avenue just down the road from City Hall was being replaced by pipebursting in Sept. of 2004
Royal Avenue has an enormous amount of vehicle traffic and being beside Douglas College meant a large amounts of pedestrians. Extra care was taken to have barricades in place and road plates were left in place while the burst was going to avoid traffic congestion.
