One of the sewers in White Rock was being replaced by pipebursting in early June 2003.

This sewer was old wood stave pipe and had an extremely great elevation change. It was decided to burst downhill and to use the lubricant system PW Trenchless has to help ease the friction of the wood stave pipe.

To the right of the burster head on the poly pipe, you can see the exit point for the lubricant system.
The photo on the right shows the dramatic elevation change.
The entrance pit was very shallow.
Due to the pipe being so shallow, the force of the burster cause the ground to heave.
