This City of New Westminster had a number of clogged service connections throughout the city. Pipe Bursting was one of the methods used to repair these connections. The short connections that had the sewer main on the same side of the street as the problem were open cut. Pipe bursting was used when the repairs were done on longer connections. The approximately 70 repairs were done in the late spring of 2001.

Early in the summer of 2001, P.W. Trenchless was also awarded the contract to replace a few sewer mains in New Westminster. The mains were 250mm and 300mm in diameter. We welded and staged the pipe on a quiet side street close to where the pipe was being installed.
