Section 3, from 9417 Kingsley Cr to 11407 Kingcome Ave was completed November 5, 2002. Another slow burst. This burst started out fast but the repair done to the line over time has left some rigid couplings that did not break as easily as expected. About 15m from the end the head was dug up the service connections made and the burst was re-launced from that point the next day.
The photo on the left shows the flexibility of the pipe. The manhole was located at a corner so approaching it straight on was not an option. The HDPE pipe easily glides by the plywood.
