I had worked in a few construction jobs and was lucky to find PW Trenchless in 2013. I love this company, and the crew definitely feels like a family -- I even brought my brother to come work with PW.! I also like the variety of jobs we do, and the new locations we get to work at.
GeeI had been working in the tile industry for years before a buddy who worked for PW Trenchless told me how great they were, and I should apply. PW is an awesome place to work and the short times we get to work out of town are a great way to really get to know the crew and bond…which only makes the job better. I like the freedom and support from the office and I like that I have been promoted to run my own crew.
MikeI was working as a Pipe Layer for another company and a guy I worked with left for PW Trenchless. It was not long before I joined him. I wouldn’t say I love working for PW…I love being at the beach, but working for PW and the crew is pretty good. I am not planning on going anywhere because everyone gets along so well and every day is a new challenge.
TroyRight after I was hired by PW Trenchless, I broke my leg in a non work-related mishap, and after my leg healed, I started to run a machine, since a longtime PW operator was retiring. I stayed on as an operator, and like that some of the projects are so unconventional, no other company wants to do them. The right way to handle a project is not set in stone, and the whole team looks it over, and then we pick the best way as a team....knowing that any one of the other suggestions could be used as a viable backup. I like the management style of not micro-managing the crew and I also like the generous nature of management both with their time and resources.
DougI was a neighbour to Dave growing up and after working for a major food company in sales, I joined PW in 2009, and I like the way the crew feels more like family than co-workers. I have seen the company grow quickly, but do not feel like a number. The company's use of the “Traction” system has allowed some of my co-workers to go right to the top or to anyone with any concerns, and they always seem to be dealt with. I don’t generally have problems, but it is good for my co-workers. I really like working physically more than sales, and am glad we don’t have to work on too many really rainy days. When PW opens their Arizona division, I am the first one in line to move!
